Why do women love men behind bars like Scott Peterson who?

I read a lot about serial killers and thus end up reading a lot about the type of women you're talking about. Some things they have in common: They think they "understand" the killer, they think the killer is a confidante, they think they can change them, they have a "captive" audience, they are pretty much nuts.
