Thesis statement supporting capital punishment?

Im doing a persuasive speech supporting capital punishment. I intend to cover cases of multiple murders or murder of children (casey anthony and scott peterson) I want to say that criminals who commit multiple murders, kill children, or pregnant women aren't punished hard enough. Does anyone have any ideas they could help me out with?
